§ 4-24. Control required; running at large.

  • (a)

    An owner of a dog shall be deemed to be in violation of the provisions of this article if, at any time during the period of such ownership, such dog is not under control by means of a leash, chain or other means of restraint of a physical nature which shall, when upon such owner's premises, not allow such dog off the premises and, when on a public way or other property, not exceed six feet in length.

    (b)

    An owner of a dog shall be deemed to be in violation of the provisions of this article if, at any time during the period of such ownership, such dog shall run at large in the city.
