The chief of police is hereby authorized and empowered to impound, for a period not to exceed 30 days, any unlicensed bicycle,
or any bicycle, skateboard, coaster, roller skates, sled or toy vehicle used in violation of any of the provisions of this
article or in violation of any of the ordinances of the city regulating traffic, so far as they are applicable. The impounding
of a bicycle shall not preclude the imposition of any other penalties provided by this article.
