§ 21-53. Parking vehicle for purpose of sale or storage.

  • Except as otherwise permitted under this Code, no person shall park any vehicle upon any street for the purpose of displaying it for sale, park any vehicle upon any street in the business section to peddle merchandise from the vehicle, or store any vehicle, tractor or machine in any part of any street. Any vehicle, tractor or machine which shall be allowed to remain standing in any part of any street for more than 24 hours shall be considered to be stored therein, and may be removed to a safe place by any police officer, and the owner thereof shall be liable for the expense of removal and storage, to be recovered in a proper action, as well as for the penalty for a violation of this section.
