§ 21-2. Definition.

As used in this chapter, the terms "holiday" and "legal holiday" shall each be construed to mean the following days:

(1)

New Year's Day.

(2)

Lincoln's Birthday.

(3)

Good Friday.

(4)

Memorial Day.

(5)

Independence Day.

(6)

Labor Day.

(7)

Veterans Day.

(8)

Thanksgiving Day.

(9)

Christmas Day.

(10)

Any other day declared by the city council as a holiday, but only for the purposes for which the declaration is made.
