§ 12.01. General standards.

1.

No sign shall block any required accessway or window.

2.

No sign shall be located on vacant property except a sign advertising the premises for sale or lease and which meets the standards of Subsection 12.04, 1.b.

3.

No sign shall be attached to a tree or utility pole.

4.

The following signs are exempt from the permit required and from the regulations of this Section 12.00

a.

Memorial signs and tablets displayed on private property.

b.

Address numerals.

5.

The following signs are exempt from the permit requirement, but must comply with all of the other regulations of this Section 12.00

a.

Signs permitted by Section 12.04, 1.a and 12.04, 1.b.

b.

Signs permitted by Section 12.03, 3 and 12.04, 2.a.
