§ 8-25. Neglect of duty.

  • If any firefighter shall neglect to attend any fire without sufficient excuse, or shall neglect or refuse to do his duty in working fire apparatus provided for the extinguishment of fires, or shall disobey the orders of the chief or assistant chief of his company or shall leave the fire apparatus while at a fire, without permission from the acting chief, he shall be subject to discipline, up to and including discharge.
