§ 3-78. Display of notices regarding minors.

  • (a)

    Every licensee under this article shall at all times display a notice, posted in a conspicuous position in the licensed premises, reading substantially as follows:

    City of Pontiac Ordinance prohibits the sale or delivery of alcoholic liquor to persons under 21 years of age and the purchase or possession of such liquor by persons under 21 years of age. Any person in violation of said Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than $100.00.

    (b)

    In addition, any holder of a class A license, and any holder of a class D license at a time when persons under the age of 21 are not permitted on the premises, shall at all times display a notice posted at each entrance to the premises in a conspicuous position, reading substantially as follows:

    City of Pontiac Ordinance prohibits any person under the age of 21 years from entering this establishment at any time, unless accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, or their spouse who is over the age of 21. Any person in violation of said Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than $100.00.

    (c)

    The local liquor control commissioner shall establish the minimum dimensions and type size for the notice and shall, in his discretion, determine the suitability of the location of the posting by the licensee.
