§ 2-1. City seal.

  • (a)

    A seal in circular form with the words "City of Pontiac, Illinois" shall be the seal of the city, to be used in all cases as provided by the laws of the United States, the laws of the several respective states of the United States and the ordinances of the city, and in all cases in which by laws and customs of corporations it is necessary for a corporation to use a seal.

    (b)

    The city seal shall be and remain in the custody of the clerk, to be used by the clerk and the mayor as provided in this section.
