§ 19-27. Same—Supervision of work; repair of unsatisfactory work.

All excavations made in the paved streets or alleys of the city by any person, for any purpose whatever, shall be made in the manner approved by the city engineer. The work shall be done under the direction of the city engineer and shall be subject to his approval. If at any time, within one year, the work as done by the party giving the bond or making the cash deposit, as required by section 19-26, proves unsatisfactory, then, if upon notice the work is not repaired, the city shall make the necessary repairs at the expense of the party giving the bond or making the cash deposit.
