§ 16-31. Posting handbills or placards.

  • No person shall post or stick or cause to be posted or stuck any handbill, sign or placard upon any private house, store or other building, or upon any fence or other private property, without the permission of the owner or occupant of the property, or in violation of the ordinances of the city. No person shall post, stick or cause to be posted or stuck any handbill, sign or placard upon any public building, bridge or sidewalk, any telephone, electric light or telegraph pole, or any tree upon any public street or alley. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be subject to punishment as provided in section 1-11 of this Code.
